About the Animal:

This photo shows a giant male grizzly bear, named Bearzilla, walking in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

He was aptly named Bearzilla by one of the biologists watching him. Estimated to weigh in the 6-700lb range, this is a really big male for the Rocky Mountains. What's interesting is that most bears in March emerge from hibernation lean and muscular having burned through their fat stores. But not Bearzilla. I spent a few weeks watching him gorging on several bison carcasses along the Yellowstone River in March. Of the 6 other male grizzlies coming by to feed, Bearzilla was by far the largest and most rotund. He was also the only bear that was relaxed enough to nap and play near the carcasses. The rest of the bears ate fast and got outta there quickly.

About the Print:

Aluminum metal prints are a new medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into coated aluminum sheets - making them the most durable choice for preserving iconic images.

Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, the printed images take on an almost magical luminescence.

The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily – just avoid direct sunlight.
